Trevoh Chalobah would reportedly give consideration to any offer to leave Chelsea this summer.
Having initially spent three loan spells away from Stamford Bridge, the academy graduate has become an important squad member over the past two seasons.
In total, Chalobah has now made 48 starts and 15 substitute outings in all competitions, chipping in with four goals from a variety of positions.
However, despite his obvious value in the squad, the 24-year-old has failed to cement a regular spot in the starting lineup under a number of different managers.
Mauricio Pochettino has since become Chelsea's next head coach and the plan is to hand the majority of the current senior crop a chance to make an impression during pre-season.
Nevertheless, Chelsea are in a position where they are well stocked for players who can play at centre-back and will have considerably fewer fixtures on the calendar due to a lack of European football.
According to football.london, Chalobah is open to departing the West Londoners if he is presented with an attractive opportunity over the summer.
The report suggests that Chalobah recognises his position in the pecking order, potentially as low as fifth choice when it comes to the middle of the backline.
While the expected departure of Cesar Azpilicueta will improve Chalobah's chances at right-back, Malo Gusto is in line to challenge Reece James for that position.
Pochettino is allegedly keen to have four senior central defenders at his disposal, with Chalobah in line to be the player to miss out when everyone is fit.
That said, the same outlet indicates that Chalobah will not be forced out of Chelsea, nor will be aggressively push for a transfer to a different club having recently penned a long-term contract.
Inter Milan have been suggested as a potential destination for Chalobah in the past, with Simone Inzaghi seeing Milan Skriniar depart San Siro for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Champions League runners-up do not appear to have followed up their initial interest, though, and it effectively leaves Chalobah to await other proposals if he is to move elsewhere before the end of August.
