Chelsea have formally announced that they have completed the signings of youngsters Alex Matos and Diego Moreira.
In recent weeks, the Blues have been focused on generating enough funds through player sales in order to fulfil their requirements with FFP.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek became the latest player to depart on Friday evening, joining AC Milan, and the expected exit of Mason Mount to Manchester United will take the club's income to close to £200m.
Nevertheless, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital also remain motivated to secure the signatures of highly-rated players with potential, the transfer of Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson also being confirmed on Friday.
That has now been followed by Chelsea revealing that Norwich City playmaker Matos and Benfica winger Moreira have each moved to Stamford Bridge on free transfers.
At the beginning of May, it was widely reported that Matos would be making the switch to Chelsea having chipped in with nine goals and seven assists from 39 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League.
A further 18 outings have come in Premier League 2, and the teenager is now expected to feature for Chelsea's Under-21 side next season.
The acquisition of Moreira is viewed as the more notable coup, a consequence of the attacker being a part of Portugal's Under-21 squad at the ongoing European Championship.
Despite being just 18 years of age, Moreira was handed a total of 63 minutes during the group stages, and he will now hope to make an impression against England in the quarter-finals on Sunday.
Moreira departs Benfica having made two senior appearances, with his game time during 2022-23 instead coming for Benfica 'B' and the club's side in the UEFA Youth League.
The versatile wideman is said to have penned a five-year contract with the West Londoners, and a loan stint on the continent is a possibility for the prospect. body check tags ::
