Chelsea have reportedly knocked back Borussia Dortmund's attempts to sign Michy Batshuayi as they want the Belgian striker to play a part next season.
Batshuayi spent the second half of the 2017-18 campaign on loan with the German side, impressing with nine goals in 14 matches before missing the final month with an ankle injury.
According to The Mirror, BVB were hoping to take the 24-year-old on a permanent contract this summer, only for Chelsea to block their approach.
The same report indicates that Dortmund may now make their interest in fellow Blues striker Alvaro Morata more concrete, with the Spaniard more likely to be offloaded ahead of next season.
Chelsea hope to have Batshuayi back to full fitness in time for the arrival of their new manager, who is expected to be appointed in the coming weeks once Antonio Conte is officially sacked.
