Chelsea are reportedly pushing to secure the transfer of Santos winger Angelo in a £15m deal.
With just three days of the month remaining, the Blues hierarchy are looking to facilitate a number of sales in order to boost their position with FFP.
If reports are to be believed, Edouard Mendy, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz will all follow Mateo Kovacic out of the door before the end of the week.
However, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have shown over the last two transfer windows that they are interested in signing a wide array of prospects.
That approach has continued in recent days with 17-year-old Jamaica international Dujuan Richards completing a move to Stamford Bridge.
According to Brazilian journalist Vene Casagrande, the West Londoners are eager to win the race for the highly-regarded attacker Angelo.
Casagrande says that the two clubs are in negotiations regarding a £15m proposal with Santos seemingly interested in cashing in on the teenager.
Despite being just 18 years of age, Angelo has made a remarkable 129 appearances for the Brazilian club, contributing five goals and 10 assists.
During the last top-flight campaign in which Santos finished in 12th position, Angelo chipped in with seven assists, also netting one strike.
Under Odair Hellman, who has just left his role as manager, Angelo was provided with five starts and six substitute outings in the league this season.
Nevertheless, it now appears that the former Brazil Under-16 international could be linking up with Chelsea, who have beaten other clubs to his signature.
Barcelona have previously been credited as admirers of the starlet but are currently not in a position to sign him, particularly when they are determined to get a deal for fellow Brazilian youngster Vitor Roque over the line.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest were heavily linked with Angelo back in January, initially insisting on a loan with an option to buy upon surviving in the Premier League, but Santos opted to reject that bid.
