Chelsea could reportedly move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly during the January transfer window.

The Blues were strongly lined with Sevilla's Jules Kounde over the summer but were unable to complete a deal for the centre-back before the window slammed shut.

Thomas Tuchel's side could enter the January market for a new central defender, and according to football.london, Koulibaly may be a potential option for the Champions League holders.

The 30-year-old was linked with a move away from Naples over the summer, but the transfer window closed with the Senegal international still in Italy.

Koulibaly's future remains the subject of much speculation, though, as his current deal is due to expire in June 2023, and Napoli are believed to be open to a sale.

The former Metz youngster has made two appearances for the Blues this season, while he has represented the club on 285 occasions since arriving from Genk in 2014. body check tags ::
