Chelsea defender Lewis Hall has allegedly emerged as a transfer target for Crystal Palace.
Since making his professional debut in January 2022, the left-sided player has been tipped to eventually make an impact in the Chelsea first team.
That has proven to be the case during 2022-23, Hall making a total of 11 appearances in all competitions despite not being due to turn 19 years of age until September.
While the England Under-19 international has benefitted from injuries to Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella, there is an argument that he has been Chelsea's best-performing left-back and wing-back this campaign.
Frank Lampard has frequently talked up the ability of the teeanger, but the caretaker manager has now been replaced by Mauricio Pochettino.
As it stands, it remains to be seen what decisions that the Argentine will make regarding the make-up of his squad with Chelsea known to need to reduce their squad numbers.
The preference will be to cash in on a number of unwanted players, rather than generate a fee for a prospect such as Hall over the coming months.
Nevertheless, according to the Daily Mail, Palace may choose to hand Chelsea the opportunity to loan out the youngster.
The Eagles, who are yet to confirm their manager for next season, are said to be interested in securing the services of Hall on a temporary basis.
Tyrick Mitchell is the established first choice on the left-hand side of Palace's back four, making a total of 34 starts in the Premier League this campaign.
If Hall was to move to Selhurst Park, that would likely remain the case with the 23-year-old a key player and two-cap England international.
However, as well as providing a more attack-minded option, Hall is also capable of playing further down the left flank and in central midfield.
Regardless of whether Hall goes out on loan or not, Chelsea will likely look to extend his contract past 2025 in the summer due to their policy of preferring terms not to enter the final 24 months. body check tags ::
