Chelsea are reportedly determined to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer.
The Blues have already spent heavily in the current transfer market, securing deals for Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Kai Havertz is also expected to arrive in a big-money move from Bayer Leverkusen, while Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr have joined the London giants on free transfers.
However, according to The Sun, the Blues remain intent on signing Rice, who is believed to be valued by the Hammers in the region of £80m.
The report claims that Frank Lampard's side are in no immediate rush for the England international but are keen to secure a deal before the transfer deadline at the start of October.
Rice scored once and provided three assists in 38 appearances for David Moyes's team last term.
