Chelsea are reportedly keen on a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle.
Roberto Di Matteo is keen to bolster his attacking options after losing Didier Drogba to Shanghai Shenhua and sending Romelu Lukaku out on loan to West Bromwich Albion.
The Blues have been linked with Schurrle throughout the summer, and the club are now weighing up a £23.5m bid for German international, according Daily Star.
Schurrle was a part of Germany's squad that made it to the semi-finals of Euro 2012.
The 21-year-old has been capped four times by his country and scored twice.
