Chelsea could miss out on signing Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde this summer unless the English club 'accelerate fully' in the coming days.
The Blues have seemingly identified the France international as their leading defensive target before the end of the transfer window, and personal terms between the two parties have allegedly already been agreed.
However, Chelsea are unlikely to be in a position to complete a deal until they have sold Kurt Zouma, who is said to be in talks with West Ham United over a move to the London Stadium.
According to Diario de Sevilla, Sevilla have still not received a proposal from Thomas Tuchel's side and 'everything has stopped' regarding a potential deal.
The report claims that unless Chelsea step up their pursuit of the 22-year-old in the coming days then Sevilla are likely to keep hold of him for the 2021-22 campaign.
Kounde, who was linked with Manchester United earlier this summer before the Red Devils signed Raphael Varane, still has three years left to run on his contract at Estadio Ramon. body check tags ::
