Valencia have rejected a £45.2m bid from Chelsea for midfielder Andre Gomes, according to reports.
The 22-year-old joined Valencia from Benfica on a permanent basis last summer and is contracted to the La Liga outfit until 2020.
His performances for finalists Portugal at Euro 2016 have reportedly drawn the attention of a number of top clubs, with Juventus already thought to have had a £38.4m bid rejected.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims that Chelsea have now entered the race, but have seen their initial bid of £45.2m rejected by Valencia.
The report goes on to state that Los Che are holding out for an offer of £72.5m before they will consider selling the 13-time Portugal international.
