Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina by sending a delegation to the Italian capital in the hope of pushing through a deal.
The Spain international, who has previously spent close to a decade in English football with Liverpool, only joined the Rossoneri at the beginning of the month following the expiration of his Napoli contract.
That has not stopped speculation mounting that Reina could be on his way back to the Premier League, however, and Tuttosport claims that a £5m bid has now been lodged.
Despite bringing in veteran goalkeeper Rob Green to provide competition for next season, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is said to be keen on reuniting with Reina, having worked with the 35-year-old for three seasons at Napoli.
The same report indicates that Milan will consider Chelsea's offer, with a healthy profit to be made if they cash in.
