Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offload out-of-favour defender Trevoh Chalobah in the January transfer window.
After working his way through the Chelsea youth ranks, Chalobah spent time away on loan at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and Lorient, before he made his debut for the Blues in 2021.
Since making his Chelsea bow, the centre-back has gone on to make 63 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with four goals for the club.
Although he has been part of the first-team setup over the previous two seasons, Chalobah was linked with a move away during the summer.
German champions Bayern Munich were pushing to secure his services, but ultimately ran out of time on transfer deadline day.
Chalobah also turned down the chance to join fellow Premier League club Nottingham Forest, ensuring that he remained at Stamford Bridge when the transfer window closed.
Despite staying in West London, Chalobah is yet to make an appearance this season, largely due to a hamstring issue.
While injury has affected his start to the campaign, Chalobah is still behind the likes of Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Levil Colwill and Thiago Silva in the pecking order.
With Chalobah expected to find playing time hard to come by when he returns from injury, there has been speculation about a possible January departure.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will allow the 24-year-old to leave the club during the winter transfer window.
The report states that a January exit will give Chalobah the opportunity to gain regular playing time away from Stamford Bridge.
With Bayern still looking to sign a centre-back, they are set to renew their pursuit and hold talks over a potential move.
Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is seemingly keen to bring Chalobah to the Allianz Arena after working with the player during his time as Chelsea head coach.
However, there is the possibility that the Bavarians could face competition, with the door open for other clubs to join the race for his signature.
