Chelsea have announced that defender Baba Rahman has penned an 18-month loan deal with Schalke 04.
Rahman has spent the last 12 months on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury while representing Ghana, but the left-back has recently returned to training with the Blues.
Head coach Antonio Conte has previously indicated that he wanted to help the 23-year-old continue his career, and that has resulted in a loan agreement being struck with Schalke.
Rahman had expressed a desire to return to a club that he was representing on loan during the 2016-17 campaign, and the player will now spend the next year-and-a-half playing in the Bundesliga.
Chelsea have also revealed that Brazilian Nathan has been sent on loan to Portuguese side Belenenses after being given just one league outing at French outfit Amiens.
