Chelsea defender Malang Sarr has been left in limbo after seeing a deadline day loan move collapse, according to a report.
The 22-year-old travelled to Germany on Tuesday with the intention of signing for newly-promoted Bundesliga side Greuther Furth for the season, but an agreement could not be reached over the move.
Fellow Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt and French club Brest were also reportedly interested in signing Sarr, but a switch did not materialise.
Now the Frenchman is unsure of his future at Chelsea, a year after moving to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer.
According to Goal, the Blues are hopeful of sending Sarr out on loan to either Turkey or Russia, as the transfer window is still open in those two countries and they are most likely to be able to afford his relatively high wages.
The report adds that Sarr has been training and playing friendly matches as part of a separate loan group at Chelsea this summer, meaning an inclusion in Thomas Tuchel's first-team squad is unlikely.
The defender spent last season on loan at Porto, making 19 appearances for the Portuguese side. body check tags ::
