Chelsea have reportedly approached Inter Milan with a new and improved offer for Achraf Hakimi, as the Blues attempt to sign the Moroccan during this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old scored seven goals and registered 11 assists in 45 appearances for his Italian club during the 2020-21 campaign but could be sold in the current market due to his side's financial problems.
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be at the head of the queue for Hakimi, who still has four years left to run on his current deal at San Siro.
Thomas Tuchel's side are believed to have already failed with an offer for the Morocco international, but according to Corriere dello Sport, an improved bid has now been submitted.
The report claims that Chelsea have offered Inter £43m plus Emerson Palmieri, while the London club are also prepared to add Davide Zappacosta, Mateo Kovacic or Tammy Abraham into the deal.
Hakimi, who started his career at Real Madrid, largely operated as a right-sided midfielder for Inter during the 2020-21 season but also featured as a right-back. body check tags ::
