Chelsea have reportedly made no progress with their efforts to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

With the Catalan giants happy to part ways with the player, a number of clubs have been interested in signing the France international.

Paris Saint-Germain have been the favourites over the past 48 hours, only for the Ligue 1 outfit to not be able to afford the 24-year-old having failed to offload some of their fringe players.

According to journalist Simon Johnson of The Athletic, Chelsea have been similarly unsuccessful in their bid to agree terms.

While Thomas Tuchel is an admirer of Dembele, the Blues seemingly preferred a pre-contract agreement ahead of the summer rather than an immediate switch.

Another report has claimed that Dembele is increasingly likely to see out the season in La Liga.
