Chelsea have reportedly offered Newcastle United the chance to take Demba Ba on loan for the rest of the campaign.
Ba, who moved to the Blues from the Magpies for around £7m in January, has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Samuel Eto'o.
The Blues are said to be prepared to sell the striker outright for £10m, but have asked Newcastle if they would be interested in taking Ba back to the North East on a season-long loan, according to the Daily Mail.
A potential stumbling block is Chelsea's insistence on a £3m fee for loan, while
Alan Pardew is also said to be weighing up making a move for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
