Chelsea transfer news: Turkish side remains an option for exiled player?

:Headline: Chelsea transfer news: Turkish side remains an option for exiled player? :
Chelsea reportedly remain open to allowing one of their exiled players to move to Turkey's Super Lig before the end of their respective transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly still keen to engineer a loan exit for one of their exiled players over the coming days.

Having enjoyed a productive summer transfer window, the Blues were effectively left with eight members of the squad who do not feature in the plans of Enzo Maresca.

The Premier League outfit have also received an unexpected boost through being able to sell Angelo Gabriel to Al-Nassr for just short of £20m.

That transaction has allegedly moved Chelsea to the brink of complying with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations for the season, although more work is expected to be required to adhere to UEFA's equivalent.

More transfer windows have since closed, yet the markets in the likes of Greece and Turkey are still open for business.

Chelsea looking at Turkish options for Chilwell

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are assessing whether it will be possible to loan Ben Chilwell to a Turkish club.

During pre-season, it became clear that the England international had no future at Stamford Bridge with Maresca preferring Marc Cucurella and Renato Veiga as his left-back options.

There are also other players who can deputise if required, it already being determined that the 27-year-old is not the right fit for Maresca's system.

Despite interest from Manchester United and Brentford at different stages, a move failed to materialise, subsequently leaving Chilwell out in the cold.

A recent report has indicated that Chilwell is not necessarily in any rush to leave the West Londoners, yet he is also aware that he faces playing no senior football until January unless he finds a new club.

Only three realistic options?

Realistically due to his wages, only Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas can be deemed to be options that are on the table.

Galatasaray, the Super Lig champions, appear to have focused their attention elsewhere, but their main two rivals may be interested in negotiating a deal.

That said, just to make a minimal financial cutback in the grand scheme of things, Chelsea may have to be open to compromises at the negotiating table.

Turkish clubs have until September 18 to sign new players, although Chilwell would not be in a position to play in Europe with those deadlines having already passed. body check tags ::
