Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly targeted a players-plus-cash move for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Abramovich is said to be considering a bold swoop for the Portuguese forward, 30, who still has two-and-a-half years on his Madrid contract.
According to The Sun, Chelsea will offer Madrid Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic and Oscar in an attempt to prise Ronaldo away from the Bernabeu.
Abramovich reportedly wants to rebuild the team around former Manchester United man Ronaldo after a sluggish start to their Premier League title defence this season.
The Blues have already lost seven of their 12 league games under Jose Mourinho this season - more than the Portuguese boss has ever lost in a single campaign.
Ronaldo, who has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, had his best-ever goalscoring season with 48 La Liga goals in 35 appearances last term, but he is behind that rate with eight in 11 this year.
