Chelsea are ready to submit a £35m offer for Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, according to Marca.
The report claims that the Argentinian is seeking an exit from the Bernabeu because of broken promises regarding a pay rise.
Blues manager Andre Villas-Boas is said to be a keen admirer of the 23-year-old's ability and is willing to meet his wage demands.
Talks between Chelsea and Di Maria's representatives may start later this week.
