Chelsea have reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina.
The 18-year-old has been the centre of transfer speculation after Chelsea and Real Madrid were credited with showing interest.
Despite being linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, Chelsea look set to sign the American goalkeeper.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have reached a verbal agreement with Chicago Fire following talks between Chelsea owner Todd Boehly and the MLS side.
An official bid is set to be submitted this week, with the Premier League club expected to pay £10m plus add-ons to sign Slonina.
Once the transfer is completed, the goalkeeper will be loaned back to Chicago Fire for the remainder of the MLS season.
