Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has suggested that David Alaba could remain at the Allianz Arena.
With just a year remaining on his contract, there have been suggestions that the club legend could take on a new challenge this summer.
Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all been linked with an approach for the Austria international, who has been with Bayern since 2011.
However, Rummenigge has indicated that the versatile defender is open to extending his stay at the Bundesliga champions.
Speaking to the media, Rummenigge said: "With Alaba, I am cautiously optimistic we will find a solution."
Alaba may delay any decision over his future until the end of Bayern's Champions League campaign, which continues against Barcelona on Friday night.
