Chelsea have reportedly turned down an offer from Juventus which would have seen Jorginho join the Italian champions and Miralem Pjanic move in the opposite direction.
The Old Lady continue to be credited with an interest in Jorginho, who has scored seven times in 37 appearances for Frank Lampard's side during the 2019-20 campaign.
According to Calciomercato, the Serie A giants offered Chelsea the chance to sign Pjanic as part of a swap for Jorginho, but the Premier League club turned down the approach.
Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in Pjanic, who has been strongly linked with a move away from Juve in recent months despite still being a key player for the club.
Chelsea have already agreed a deal with RB Leipzig for Timo Werner, while Hakim Ziyech is heading to Stamford Bridge from Ajax ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The Blues will resume their Premier League season away to struggling Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
