Chelsea have reportedly retained an interest in signing Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
At a time when the Argentine was allegedly available for the right price this year and in 2020, none of the interested clubs met Inter's valuation of the player.
Martinez, who has netted 10 times in Serie A this season, has since penned a new contract at San Siro, leaving the Italian giants in a position where they do not have to contemplate any bids.
However, according to Fichajes, the Blues may be prepared to reignite their interest in the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window.
Any deal appears unlikely unless Chelsea part ways with at least one of their attackers, with Timo Werner potentially the most at risk of being allowed to leave Stamford Bridge.
Nevertheless, Inter are unlikely to consider any offers for Martinez unless they receive a bid in the region of the £97.5m that Chelsea paid for Romelu Lukaku earlier this year.
