Chelsea 'still interested in signing Federico Chiesa'

Chelsea plan to reignite their interest in Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa next year, according to a report.

Chelsea will reportedly reignite their interest in Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa next year, having failed to sign the Italian during the summer transfer window.

The Blues are believed to have placed a big-money offer on the table for the 23-year-old over the summer, but Juventus made it clear that the right-sided forward was not available for transfer.

Cheisa, who played a key role in Italy's Euro 2020 success, has scored once in four Serie A appearances for Massimiliano Allegri's side at the start of the 2021-22 campaign.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea 'will try a new assault in the coming months', with the Blues determined to bring the attacker to Stamford Bridge in 2022.

The report, though, claims that Bayern Munich and Liverpool are also keen on the Italian, who is technically on loan at Juventus from Fiorentina, with the deal set to become permanent next summer.

Chiesa has scored 15 goals and registered 10 assists in 47 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions. body check tags ::
