Chelsea have reportedly submitted a £17m bid for Metz forward Habib Diallo.
The Blues, having had their transfer suspension lifted, are able to enter the market in January and continue to be linked with a number of players in the final third of the field.
Tammy Abraham has impressed for the Blues on his return from Aston Villa, but Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi have struggled for regular action and could be on their way this month.
According to Le Republicain Lorrain, Frank Lampard's side have made an offer of £17m for Diallo, who is also believed to be attracting the attention of Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old has scored 10 times in 19 Ligue 1 appearances for his French club this season, while he managed 26 in the second tier of French football during the 2019-20 campaign.
Diallo will see his current deal with Les Grenats expire in the summer of 2022.
