Bayern Munich are reportedly still hopeful of convincing David Alaba to sign a new deal at the club.
The 27-year-old remains a key player for the German champions, making 37 outings in all competitions during the 2019-20 campaign, including 28 in the Bundesliga.
Alaba's current deal at the Allianz Arena is due to expire next summer, and a recent report claimed that Chelsea had been in touch with the Bundesliga giants to discuss a possible move.
Bayern have thus far been unable to reach an agreement with the Austria international over a new contract, but according to the Daily Mail, the club 'will revive their attempts'.
The report also claims that Alaba would prefer to move to Spain over the Premier League if he were to leave the Allianz Arena, seemingly ending Chelsea's hopes of signing him.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have both previously been linked with the Austrian, who has largely operated as a central defender during the current season due to injuries and the emergence of Alphonso Davies.
Frank Lampard's side are expected to move for a new left-back this summer and have also been strongly linked with Leicester City's Ben Chilwell.
