Chelsea are reportedly preparing to go head to head with Borussia Dortmund for the signing of Hertha Berlin attacker Javairo Dilrosun.
The 21-year-old spent four years in the Manchester City youth system before joining Hertha in 2018 having failed to make the breakthrough at the Etihad Stadium.
The Netherlands international has scored three times and contributed two assists in seven appearances for the German club this season, with all three goals coming in the Bundesliga.
According to Calciomercato, Dortmund are keen on a move for the attacker having watched him closely this season, but BVB are likely to face competition from Chelsea.
The Blues are currently banned from bringing new personnel to the club after breaching FIFA rules in relation to the signing of youth players, but it is thought that Frank Lampard's side are confident they will win an appeal allowing them to make moves at the start of 2020.
Chelsea - dumped out of the EFL Cup by Manchester United on Wednesday - will be looking to make it five straight Premier League victories when they travel to Watford in Saturday's late start.
