A host of European giants including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are keeping tabs on Espanyol starlet Nico Melamed, according to a report.
The 18-year-old has made just one appearance for the Espanyol senior team so far - in a Europa League qualifier in August - but his performances for the Spanish outfit's 'B' team are understood to have attracted attention.
Nico has scored seven goals in 26 outings for the second-string side, and Gianluca Di Marzio reports that some of Europe's biggest clubs are tracking his progress.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are all reportedly ready to pay the midfielder's release clause, which stands at just €8m (£7.2m).
The youngster's current Espanyol contract runs until 2023, although they are eager to tie him down to fresh terms in order to increase that release clause.
Espanyol currently sit rock bottom of the La Liga table, six points adrift of safety having won just four of their 27 games so far.
