Chelsea have reportedly triggered a one-year extension in the contract of Olivier Giroud.
The Blues were handed a two-window transfer ban earlier this year, and it has resulted in the Premier League club needing to reassess their plans to make changes to the first-team squad.
Giroud had been in line to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of his existing deal in June, but Telefoot claims that the World Cup winner will now remain with the West Londoners.
The 32-year-old has largely been used off the substitutes' bench during the current campaign, which has led to the France international being linked with a return to his homeland.
However, it now appears that Giroud will spend another season with Chelsea, who may also bring in academy graduate Tammy Abraham as extra competition in the final third.
