Chelsea will reportedly look to sell either Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri in this summer's transfer window to raise funds for other targets.
Both left-backs have fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of England international Ben Chilwell, who joined the club from Leicester City for around £50m in August 2020.
According to Goal, Thomas Tuchel is happy to see one of Alonso or Emerson leave the club this summer and any funds raised from a sale would be used to bolster the squad in other areas.
Alonso has been given a chance to impress under the German boss since his appointment in January, with the 30-year-old starting seven times in the Premier League as well as both legs of their Champions League last-16 clash against Atletico Madrid.
However, the Spaniard – who has been at Stamford Bridge since August 2016 – will see his contract expire in June 2022, as will Emerson, and the Blues are now prepared to cash in on at least one of the duo.
Emerson has started just once for Chelsea since Tuchel arrived at the club and the 26-year-old has been linked with a return to Italy with Serie A champions Inter Milan, who are now managed by former boss Antonio Conte, who signed the left-back for the Blues in January 2018.
Chelsea are set to use any money they recoup from summer sales to invest in a new centre-forward and have been linked with several players including Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland and former Blues striker Romelu Lukaku.
