Goalkeeper Rob Green has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Chelsea.
The Blues are currently considering the future of Thibaut Courtois, who has less than 12 months remaining on his contract, but work is also underway to secure an experienced backup for the upcoming campaign.
According to The Sun, Chelsea are keen on bringing in Green, who had been expected to retire after leaving Huddersfield Town earlier this summer.
The report suggests that the 38-year-old will be regarded as third choice at Stamford Bridge, with Courtois and Willy Caballero currently acting as first choice and deputy.
Green's last first-team appearance came last August when he featured for Leeds United in an EFL Cup tie against Newport County.
