Chelsea will reportedly not bring forward the proposed signing of Christopher Nkunku following a long-term injury suffered by Armando Broja.

The Armenian forward will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered in their 1-0 friendly loss to Aston Villa.

According to Fabrizio Romano via CaughtOffside, Chelsea will look to sign a replacement for Broja this January, with the Blues currently still planning to sign Nkunku from RB Leipzig in the summer.

It also states another forward will be targeted instead, although no specific names are listed in the report.

Broja had become part of Thomas Tuchel's squad before his sacking earlier this season and has gone on to be a squad player for the newly-appointed Graham Potter, making 18 appearances so far this season.

With his injury leaving Chelsea short-changed in the striking department, reports today have revealed that Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Molde forward Datro Fofana, who is expected to join in January. body check tags ::
