Ligue 1 outfit Nice have reportedly expressed their interest in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer.
The 27-year-old has become a backup option for Thomas Tuchel since the arrival of Edouard Mendy in 2020, and the Spaniard was reduced to only 15 appearances in all competitions last season.
According to Foot Mercato, Nice are lining up a loan offer for Arrizabalaga as they look to replace former number-one stopper Walter Benitez, who has joined PSV Eindhoven.
The report adds that Nice would be able to offer Arrizabalaga regular first-team football, which the goalkeeper is craving as he bids to boost his chances of representing Spain at the 2022 World Cup.
The former Athletic Bilbao stopper – who has not represented his country since July 2020 – may be required to take a pay cut if he is to move to France this summer, as he is currently earning around £150,000 per week at Stamford Bridge.
Nice could face competition from Serie A side Lazio, who are managed by former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, in the race for Arrizabalaga's signature. body check tags ::
