Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has reiterated that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond this season.
The player's father touted him to foreign clubs ahead of the January window by revealing that the academy product was unhappy with his lack of first-team minutes.
Christensen had to settle for appearances in cup competitions, but he has started three Premier League games in 2019 and has been a continued presence in the Europa League knockout rounds.
Amid rumoured interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona in his services, however, the Denmark international has once again stressed that remaining in West London is his preferred choice.
"It is always difficult when I speak in Danish and it gets mistranslated. I haven't had a conversation with the club but I want to stay here," he is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
"I've said I'd like to stay, but they haven't said I'm definitely staying. I've said what I want to happen and that was definitely staying.
"I've still got a long contract. I'm still proud to be a Chelsea player. I've been here since I was 16. The club have done a lot for me."
Christensen made his Chelsea debut four-and-a-half years ago and is under contract until 2022.
