Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has reportedly identified Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso as a potential January signing.
While Alonso starred in Chelsea's recent win at Tottenham Hotspur, the left-back has barely featured in Frank Lampard's plans since the beginning of November.
The prolonged period out of the team has inevitably resulted in speculation regarding the Spaniard's long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte is interested in securing a reunion with Alonso, whom he sees as a perfect fit for the wing-back position.
The 28-year-old was a regular part of the Blues side, managed by Conte, that won the Premier League title in 2017.
Inter are said to be keen on a loan deal, although Chelsea may demand a permanent transfer if they give the green light to Alonso's departure.
