Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana is reportedly determined to leave Stamford Bridge this month.
Fofana completed a €12m (£10.1m) move to Chelsea in January 2023 after scoring 24 goals in 65 appearances for Norwegian side Molde.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign at Stamford Bridge, before he was loaned out to Union Berlin for the first of the 2023-24 season.
Fofana mustered two goals in 17 matches for the German club and was subsequently recalled in the January transfer window.
The Ivory Coast international headed straight back out on loan to Burnley, where he registered four goals and one assist in 15 matches.
Fofana looking to leave Chelsea
Having returned to Stamford Bridge, Fofana has been deemed surplus to requirements by Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca.
As a result, Fofana did not feature in pre-season and has been left out of each of Chelsea's five matchday squads in the opening stages of the new campaign.
The striker attracted interest from Everton and clubs in the Championship, including Sunderland, but he ultimately failed to complete a move away before the English transfer window closed on Friday.
Although he failed to secure a move away before August 30, Football Insider are reporting that Fofana could still leave Chelsea in the coming days and weeks.
The report claims that Fofana is ready to push for a move away in a bid to find a club that can offer him regular game time.
What transfer windows are still open?
Europe's major leagues are all closed for business, while the Saudi Pro League's transfer window slammed shut on Monday.
As a result, Fofana has seen his options narrowed, but there is still a possibility that he could find a new club this month.
There are still a number of countries that are yet to close their windows and could potentially offer Fofana a way out of Stamford Bridge.
Belgium and Turkey are among the countries who are still open to business, with Belgian Pro League sides able to add to their squad until Friday while Turkish clubs can strengthen their squad until September 13.
The transfer market is also open in several other countries, including Austria, Croatia, Switzerland, Cyprus and Greece. body check tags ::
