Thibaut Courtois has revealed that he wants his long-term future resolved before the World Cup.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper, who is contracted to Chelsea, is currently in his third season on loan at Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid.
The Belgium international is widely regarded as one of the best young stoppers in world football, but it is believed that he wants assurances over first-team football before agreeing to return to Stamford Bridge, where Petr Cech is the current number one.
"I don't know where I will be playing next season," he told Sporza.
"In a short time I will discuss my future with Chelsea and I want to know their plans. After those discussions I will decide what will be the best option for me.
"I don't want to wait too long, it's not good to begin a World Cup while you're thinking about transfers. I don't want to wait until May or June! I'm not worried at his moment and I hope I won't be worried at all the next months."
Barcelona are believed to be monitoring developments and could make a move should Courtois become available.
