Chelsea striker Diego Costa says "you never know" when asked if he could follow Filipe Luis's lead and return to Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has hinted that he might return to Atletico Madrid in the future after admitting that "you never know" what might happen.

The Spain international moved to Stamford Bridge from Atletico last year and went on to score 20 goals in his first season, but in this campaign, the striker has only managed four in all competitions so far.

According to The Express, when asked about possibly copying Filipe Luis, who decided to return to Atletico after just one season at Chelsea, Costa said: "You never know - look where Filipe Luis is now. Life is full of surprises. I always wish Atletico the best and I always follow them, support them from afar."

Chelsea are 14th in the Premier League table, just two points above the relegation zone after 15 games.
