Borussia Dortmund have rejected Chelsea's first approach for Erling Braut Haaland, according to a report.
Thomas Tuchel has supposedly earmarked the Norwegian as his top centre-forward target for the summer window, with the Blues determined to add more firepower to their attack.
However, speculation over Haaland's future has cooled somewhat in recent weeks, with Dortmund still confident that they can retain his services for the 2021-22 campaign.
According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea have followed up their interest in Haaland with an official offer, but Dortmund were quick to rebuff the Blues' approaches.
The report claims that the Blues were preparing to include Tammy Abraham or Callum Hudson-Odoi in part-exchange, but BVB are holding out for a sum of €175m (£149m), which Chelsea have no intention of paying.
Haaland's £68m release clause will activate in 2022, but Chelsea have been tipped to move for Antoine Griezmann on loan if they cannot strike a deal for Haaland this summer. body check tags ::
