Emerson Palmieri has acknowledged that he is unhappy with his game time at Chelsea under Frank Lampard.
The left-back failed to gain a transfer during the summer window, leaving the Italy international to remain as backup to new arrival Ben Chilwell.
Although the 26-year-old has made two appearances in the EFL Cup, he is yet to feature in the Premier League this season.
Emerson was provided with 90 minutes for his national team on Sunday night, leading to the player to suggest that he feels more valued when working under Roberto Mancini.
"When I arrive here I change my head, I feel important and part of the group," he told reporters.
"At Chelsea, things are not going as I wish in this part of the season. I just have to work."
Emerson has less than two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
