Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has denied that his club held talks with Radamel Falcao in the latter stages of the January transfer window.
It had been reported that Falcao, who is currently on loan at Chelsea from AS Monaco, was in Madrid on transfer deadline day hoping to secure a return to his former club.
Cerezo, however, has insisted that there were no talks with the Colombian striker, who has struggled in England over the last two seasons.
"I don't know if Falcao has been in Madrid. It's a while since I spoke to him. He hasn't been with us," Cerezo told El Laguero.
Falcao, 29, scored 70 times in 91 games for Atletico between 2011 and 2013, before joining Monaco.
