Enzo Fernandez has denied rumours that he has any interest in leaving Chelsea in the foreseeable future.

The central midfielder has just completed 12 months at Stamford Bridge after making a £106.8m transfer from Benfica.

Although the Argentina international has sometimes showcased his class, there have been times where he has not lived up to his price tag.

Last week, a report emerged that he may look to push for a move away from the Premier League outfit in the summer, despite the fact that he possesses a contract until the end of 2031-32.

His agent quickly hit back at that speculation, denying that the 2022 World Cup winner was angling for a move elsewhere, but it was then claimed that the 23-year-old had ambitions to sign for Barcelona.

In between those reports, Fernandez produced one of his best performances of the season, scoring an exquisite free kick during a 3-1 triumph over Aston Villa in their FA Cup fourth round replay.

On Monday night, Fernandez would net for the second game in succession, coolly finding the top corner from eight yards to seal a 3-1 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Like at Villa, Fernandez celebrated passionately with the travelling Chelsea support, and he took the decision to discuss his future immediately after the game at Selhurst Park.

Fernandez told ESPN: "I don't want to leave Chelsea. I'm feeling very good here with my teammates and the coaching staff and have done since the day I arrived.

"The people at the club are treating me very well and I'm grateful for that. I will continue here for as long as they want me to. I don't know where those rumours came from, but I totally deny them."

In total, Fernandez has now chipped in with seven goals and three assists from his 52 appearances in all competitions, although just six of those contributions have come in the Premier League.

Fernandez also spoke about wanting to represent Chelsea in the Champions League, but the West Londoners are already realistically facing a best-case scenario of the Europa League or Europa Conference League for 2024-25.

Although they face Liverpool in the EFL Cup final and remain in the FA Cup at the fifth-round stage, Chelsea are in 10th position in the Premier League standings, two points adrift of seventh-placed Newcastle United. body check tags ::
