Everton have registered an interest in taking Chelsea defender Levi Colwill on loan from next season, according to a report.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed an impressive first season of senior football on loan at Championship side Huddersfield Town this year, helping the Terriers to the playoff final against Nottingham Forest on May 29.
However, Frank Lampard is keen to raid his former club Chelsea and give the defender his first taste of Premier League football for the 2022-23 campaign, according to The Sun.
The report claims that the Toffees have already scouted Colwill on numerous occasions this season, with the view to following up that interest with a temporary move in the summer.
Everton could face competition to bring Colwill to Goodison Park however, with the report suggesting that Crystal Palace are also keen on the Chelsea youngster, although it is acknowledged that they may struggle to offer first-team football for Colwill ahead of the likes of Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi.
Lampard utilised his links with his former club when in charge at Derby County back in the 2018-19 campaign, taking the likes of Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount on loan at Pride Park.
Colwill has made 29 Championship appearances for Huddersfield ahead of the playoff final, helping his side to 11 clean sheets during those outings. body check tags ::
