Fiorentina director Vincenzo Guerini has confirmed that the club have made an 'insane offer' for Chelsea's Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian spent the second half of last season on loan with the Serie A club, in a move which saw Juan Cuadrado move to Chelsea on a permanent basis.
The Italian club are keen to secure Salah's services, with reports in Italy suggesting that the 23-year-old has been offered a £2.1m-a-year contract.
Guerini is quoted by the Guardian as saying: "I tell the fans that the club has made an insane offer to Salah. If any player, not just Salah, turned down a proposal like that, then it's best he doesn't stay at Fiorentina.
"However, I think Salah will accept. He made a huge impact with us, so it's normal that he should receive calls from elsewhere. He wants to earn more, but Fiorentina made a truly important proposal."
Salah scored nine goals for Fiorentina during his loan spell.
