Fiorentina president Mario Cognigni has revealed that his side are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
The England international is out of contract with the Blues in the summer and has been linked with a number of clubs, including Manchester United, Juventus and Los Angeles Galaxy.
However, Cognigi has added the Viola to the race for Lampard's signature and believes that bargains can easily be found when dealing with footballers in their 30s.
"Lampard is a player I have always liked and may be an example of today's marketplace," Cognigni told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"A player who has passed 30 years, his contract is expiring, and he may be the right combination between experience and cost of the deal."
"Market choices are not up to the chairman but to our market men Daniele Prade (sporting director) and Eduardo Macia (technical director)".
Lampard scored during Chelsea's 4-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday.
