Chelsea are reportedly open to handing a new contract to forward Olivier Giroud.
For the majority of this season, Giroud has found himself down the pecking order, resulting in the Frenchman almost leaving Stamford Bridge in January.
However, despite the uncertainty over his future, the player made several starts in a row before football was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to football.london, the two parties have held discussions regarding the possibility of fresh terms being agreed in the coming months.
As it stands, the 33-year-old's contract is due to expire on July 1, although that may automatically be extended until the end of the season by FIFA.
The report indicates that Giroud would have to be prepared to accept a 12-month deal in order to remain in West London.
