Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that the club are in talks with Chelsea to secure a permanent deal for Thorgan Hazard.
The 21-year-old, brother of Chelsea attacker Eden, has impressed during the first half of his loan spell with the Bundesliga side, and Monchengladbach are keen to retain his services beyond the end of the current season.
"Thorgan's development has been exemplary," Eberl told Sport Bild. "He needed some time at first, and we allowed him that. Now he is getting better all the time.
"I hope that we sign the player on a permanent deal. We are constantly talking to Chelsea.
"There are several options, and we will discuss all that soon."
Hazard indicated earlier this month that he would be keen to stay at Monchengladbach.
