Gonzalo Higuain will reportedly pocket £270,000 a week when he joins Chelsea on loan from Juventus.
Higuain is currently on loan at AC Milan from Juve, with the 31-year-old scoring eight times in 22 appearances for the San Siro outfit during the 2018-19 campaign.
Milan are reportedly prepared to allow Higuain to end his loan spell at the club, however, as they are finding it difficult to pay his substantial wages.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for the Argentine in recent weeks as Alvaro Morata prepares to leave Stamford Bridge for Atletico Madrid.
According to the Daily Star, Higuain is on the verge of joining the Blues and the experienced striker will pocket £270,000 a week, placing him among the top five highest-earning players in the Premier League.
The report has also claimed that Chelsea will pay Juventus £9m for Higuain's services this season.
Higuain has scored close to 300 goals during his professional career, which has also included spells with River Plate, Real Madrid and Napoli.
