Chelsea are reportedly only prepared to accept permanent offers for out-of-favour midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.
The 20-year-old made the high-profile switch across Premier League battlelines from Aston Villa to the Blues for £20m back in the summer of 2022.
Over a two-year period at Stamford Bridge, Chukwuemeka has failed to establish himself as a key first-team player, featuring on just 27 occasions across all competitions.
Under the stewardship of Mauricio Pochettino, the former Villan made nine appearances in the Premier League last season, starting only twice.
Chukwuemeka possesses relative international pedigree, having featured six times for England Under-20s, although a breakthrough into the Three Lions senior side is not imminent due to a lack of club minutes.
Chelsea to only accept permanent offers for Chukwuemeka?
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano via CaughtOffside, Chelsea are only interested in entertaining permanent offers for Chukwuemeka in the near future.
The report claims that the Blues are not keen on a temporary move away from Stamford Bridge for the midfielder, wishing to offload the player for good.
It is understood that Turkish giants Galatasaray are exploring the possibility of a move for the Chelsea outcast in the middle of this month.
With the summer transfer window in the Turkish Super Lig shutting on Friday, Cimbom are under pressure to force through a last-gasp deal for the 20-year-old.
However, it is believed that Galatasaray are yet to enter concrete talks over a move for Chukwuemeka, and even then Okan Buruk's side supposedly want a temporary deal.
The one that did not get away
Staring a bloated squad in the face, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca froze a number of first-team players out of his plans, including midfielder Chukwuemeka.
Raheem Sterling was one of the most high-profile names, with the former England international securing a loan move to Premier League rivals Arsenal.
In defence, academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah was deemed surplus to requirements by Maresca, switching to Crystal Palace on a temporary deal for the 2024-25 term.
With the Turkish window set to shut, it appears as if Chukwuemeka could be in the first-team wilderness at Chelsea until the January window at least. body check tags ::
